harsh, nowt wrond with an axe in my opinion, but i spose if you're doing tons of logs then fair doos, is it gonna heal up okay so you can ride again is the important thing??

we just rented a log splitter for like two days bc usually we use an axe but then the big, knotty, unsplittable ones slowly built up

obviously you've never had anything crushed before its like going through hell... whtvr its all good now again... but i was riding one handed all over the place for a while with my arm in a sling
