Oh the lowers match it nicely.
Can't wait to see it at wallace.

Bike looks really good. Sprocket's a bit out of place. Argyle still at 100mm? Also I'm impressed at how well your SB8 is holding up...mine is on track to last a paltry 3 months or so.

The sprocket looks less out of place in real life. The pic makes it look really light. The argyles are still at 100mm, and both tires are almost 100% bald at the center knobs. Haha. I have been holding off buying new tires for too long.

I think I may just accept the weight penalty and go back to Holy Rollers...if they made a 2.0 kevlar version I'd never run another tire. Do you live at home or in residence?

I wish I could just go to holy rollers but my frame clearance is tight even with a 1.95 inch tire. I have been thinking of going with a Kenda NPJ for the rear, but it seems too slick of a tire for dirt. Specialized and bonterager seem to have some decent offerings as well, but i have to look into them a bit more. Oh, and I live at home.

Yeah, the Specialized looks good if expensive (i.e not online). I came across some 370g Continentals for $26 each the other day, but that's a step in the wrong direction as far as function goes. I ask because a friend at U of T lives on res, but another friend and I are both staying at home. I figured you'd stay at home, just checking.

Im not sure where to get them yet. A few weeks ago I met Matt Macduff, who has been riding an NPJ for a while, and he recommended them to me. If I figure out where to get them I will let you know.

I had a 318 before my 409, and since the 318 is now bent, I decided to shave off the brake mounts and paint the lowers orange. Then I just swapped the lowers. I finally got around to swapping them this morning.
