That's a Lapierre, a French bike company. Don't know their background, but that top tube curvature and internal cable routing looks like they took style ideas from road bikes. Pretty nifty...

Lapierre dh 920 is created by Lapierre and N vouilloz
here in France, it is one of the most famous dh bike
not so expensive.glue on the trail
it is not a funny bike, it is a racing dh bike.....(D Hart is a young gun, he already won 2 or 3 races this year)
about background, very old company
work on mtb since the beginning, around 16 or 17 years of developing (first FS lapierre frame was the same as Diamonback, don t remember the name)
2 another bikes to check Zesty and Froggy, big all mountain bikes
very effective in dh and climbing with the same bike

Indeed France should be proud of Lapierre... its amazing. I just saw the Zesty by my own eyes and it is just so celan, it's so much style and class Smile French design at its best!

btw Lapierre use the VPP patent just like SC and Intense. Not really allowed to sell those in america due to Patent own by Santa Cruz and Intense but you can still find some...
