Thats why.. You should be shooting in either manual or shutter priority.

The man is right! I use the aperture setting and leave it wide open, works a treat! Oh and quite a high iso, hope that helps!

Well you should try shoot at the lowest ISO possible unless you're converting to black and white later and want the grainy look. Also most lenses are at their sharpest around f/8-16 although you will have to adjust either your ISO or your shutter speed to compensate for this. On bright days i can shoot at f/8 at ISO 100 and a shutter speed of around 200

To Stoked-Commencal: isn't shutter of 200 still a bit slow? I usually don't shoot anything below 250 unless I'm panning.

Shutter speed is all determined by lighting, and rider speed. Its all situation based.

I'm with g-e-o. Personally I'm only shooting manual and i play with every values all the time.
For this shot i would pic f/5.6 or wider (4 max), ss on 1/800sec or shorter and iso i use for tuning.

Its all dependent on the situation though. Every single time you take a shot in a different place the lighting will be different. Also i tend to not shoot when the sun is high as i prefer the light when the sun is going down.

id personally use no more than iso 200, anything more looks too grainy

set f/4 or 5 and shutter speed 1/300
