huh? ^^ dont get it....
You mean how the bottombracket is connected to the rear triangle/swingarm AND the downtube?
Same here
Same here
well there is this smaller swing arm, the one that connects to the down tube, that acts as the connecter, and the solid block acually rotates rearward with the wheel as the bie is compressed, this allows complete independence from pedal bob...
its amazing how well the is designed,
and yea
iknow my explanation made no f*cking sense.

It did and I understood that part. I just want to see the frame itself.
But imagine this, what happens if you pull the bottombracket down

If you were on the bike's pedals, and you throw your body weight down.. I'm saying that this suspension should not be working because the bottombracket is connected to the swingarm in an awkward way! Imagine the amount of forces the bearings, the one right below the main pivot, would have to endure.
Can somebody make an animation of this frame?
Can somebody make an animation of this frame?
thats why its soo f*cking big, and also, bearings are designed to have force up n down, the BB swings exacly equal to the rearswingarm, so it movies perfectly in sink, nor ratios or anything
theres like a 5% chance theyll do it, but send sicklines an emil asking if they can rig up an animation for you...

That's not what I meant. And not that bearing, the one below it! The small one! *sync*
And because they are in perfect synchronization, if you jump on the pedals, the suspension would not engage and you will feel the brute force of the track..
That's what it seems like from this picture and others... I'll contact sicklines because I know GT-engineers wouldn't do this

I have an 08, I can take the shock out and do a little video of how it works...
ALthough i'm not sure how to explain it...

GT has been doing this iDrive 2 suspension design for years and it definitely works pretty well for a glorified single pivot.
No sorry, i fully get how the linkage works, it was a stupid comment that was above mine, its been deleted now as the person was obviously some silly little kid.
is that deemax wheelset custom?i would say so,couse every other deemax wheelset is silver! sick bike!!
new one's are silver. mavic tried silver a while ago instead of their classic yellow but it didn't work out. wonder if it works this time. should, it's a much better wheel, supposedly
but if they were in black they would then probably put the stickers in yellow which would make it look too much like 821's etc
Yeah they did that. Mavic rims are the best as ever, but this time they heve improved on their freewheel mechaism finally. i can not tell if they succeeded in this goal or not but, it sounds that they give their best, even though they are french

My vote for french rims. French fries for president
after barack pálinka!!!

In 2003, Mavic released DeeMax wheels with a silver rim and a yellow hub, but it proved to be unpopular, so they went back to yellow on yellow. For 2010, the DeeMax wheels are coming in both silver and yellow.
you're still negative proping me... i wish i understood the point of negative props. it only encourages kids to be passively aggressive instead of actually stating their opinion about someone's comment
It means that I do not agree with you. White is the only color other than black that looks good and is available on most parts. Remember, there is never too much white!
negative proping someone does absolutely nothing productive. if you don't agree with me, then say so. don't be a whimp. man up
Ok I disagree, i minus propped you cause I did not have to time to write it out. It is just a quick way but if you want it then white is NOT a trend, IMO it looks good and thats why many other people have white on their bikes.
negative propping isn't a substitute for saying why you dissagree with something. it shouldn't be used to dissagree with someone. it should be used if someone says something irrelevent in order to block it out. even in that case, it's useeless cause people will still look at it. whoof, i'm going to make a blog on this
I really dont care im not going to waste my time argueing to an 18 year old about negative propping.

i dont care how it works, i just know that it does and it freaken kicks ass and looks freaken amazing!
lol, I've never quite understood the I-drive system, but unless there's some internal moving parts that can't be seen, it looks like its some kinda semi-URT single pivot design - don't quite get exactly how it performs its task though....
