every one seems to love this bike but i personaly do not, its just looks to complicated and it must be fairly heavy thanks to all those rear end workings, dont hate me for this but i'd much rather sick with a socom or a demo over a bike like this any day

flag HUMMERTM (Jun 17, 2009 at 8:15)
very true simplicity is efficiency

flag bikerboywill (Jun 17, 2009 at 12:11)
hang on a demo? for simplicity? hmm mabe not?! the best and simplest dh bie is the orange 224

flag seraph (Jun 17, 2009 at 12:26)
The FSR link is one of the most simple and often-copied suspension designs ever created.

flag bikerboywill (Jun 17, 2009 at 12:28)
a frame with 8 bearings isnt simple! 2 is!

flag northumberlandrider (Jun 19, 2009 at 16:38)
lol total but guys seriouly this bike is just to complicated, why be brave and go off and buy a bike like this when we already know that other bike companies have got what we need
  • + 1
flag bunkey (Jun 20, 2009 at 3:53)
sorry but how is this complicated? its a pretty standard linkage if you strip it down (pretty much identicle to a big hit tbh), the only difference being the extra few bars to maintain an uninterupted seat tube, and to alter the rising rate of the suspension? the rest of what you seem to class as 'complicated' is just a chain guide mechanism.
  • + 1
flag northumberlandrider (Jun 20, 2009 at 4:50)
well other than it being complicated it is also going to be heavy
  • + 1
flag bunkey (Jun 20, 2009 at 4:55)
the transition tr450 frame is 9.5lbs WITHOUT a chainguide or rear shock and that builds up to 38lbs, the knolly dh proto is 11.5lbs WITH a rear shock and chainguide. id say your looking at a bike which builds between 37lbs and 39lbs, so not really that heavy tbh.

flag northumberlandrider (Jun 20, 2009 at 11:25)
well buddy u seem to know your stuff, but personaly i'd not go for this bike
  • + 1
flag bunkey (Jun 22, 2009 at 10:13)
Aye same eh, knolly bikes are way too expensive to justify paying up for tbh. Im waiting on the Transition TR450
