Sick man! I'm in Poland, can't find a computer and that shizznat so I justgot on for the first time right now. They look great man. I second that purple atlas crank suggestion.
from what i was told, marzocchi drilled the bore hole too small in the rebound cartridge. the thing died and they installed a new cartridge with a larger bore hole. anyway, i had to run a lot more air and it never felt really nice, so i invested in this. nothing is wrong with the dj2, but it didnt satisfy me.
i beat him to it though...or did he repaint his bike before he broke his frame? anyway, its an uncommon colour scheme either way. and i dont care about the colour anyway, going for performance over looks...hard to tell, but im not rich...
this is a hard question to answer...yes, they are lighter. as for pulling up...well, its really about the tuning of the fork. tune it right and she pops you off lips and feels like nothing to pull up for hops and manuals. tune it wrong and it feels like theres an anvil taped to it. its all about tuning man.
ive got mine at 175 psi, compression one notch down from the highest setting, floodgate fully open, and rebound near the middle. i could add a little air, air isnt such a major factor i find. and i weigh in around 140lbs.
ohh, and those are settings about argyles, right? i still have dj2 and they have less ajustments but im trying to get argyle 318 soon theyre a little over a pound lighter than my dj2 lol, so hopefully manuels will be easier, lol
i can manual just as well with 409's as dj2's..well, until mine broke. just go practice, thats how manuals are learned, not by changing forks. youll probably be worse at manualing for a few days when you get new forks
k, theyll take longer to break. 08s had a defect in the rebound cartridge. and suntours always made the lowers. RS are made in Asia somewhere too. not a big deal, those people work hard and are very good at what they do. marzocchi has fallen apart though. Fox lowers are made by RST btw. reason for this is because its expensive to get all the machinery and people. they just get other companies to build things for them, saving them money, so that we can afford to buy the product.
07 is known as one of marzocchis best years for the dj forks. spending WAY too much time on pb ...well, you really cant spend too much time on pb, but im on here a lot haha
no, i dont really want the upholstery cause my seat isnt pivitol and i wanna buy a whole new piviotl seat but if you wanna do what the guy above me said just send me a message, thanks
thanks! actually, apparently green and purple go really good together from what ive heard...but i wasnt going for colour here, i just wanted a really good fork.
ill throw 27 dollars and a Neon pink sharpie at you for it! lmao. jk.... 27 is way too... much... hahahaha. but in all honesty, if i was to bid on it, it would be way too low cause i have no idea what these things go for. gimme a hint. lol. what would you sell it to me for?
for the week, then next time i get up to my friends house we'll take the time to lower it to 80mm. ill then know what feeling i like better, and hes lowered a couple forks before so he knows what hes doing, while i might be a little confused.
kk cool... same with me i wanna lower it but i dont want to open it up and lose stuff and get it all messed up lol...so i mite bring it to a guy i know at a shop or something.
the frame, ya, a guy weighed a 4hun frame (same frame, different colour) and it weighed 4.87. Total approximate weight of the bike is 27.83, only thing different from the above pic is it has SB8's now.
sweet! theyre amazing. and btw, the weight chart is bullshit. im supposed to weigh like, 180-200 lbs i think, for whatever mines at. im like, 150 by now id say. used to be 140 but ive put on some muscle.
i havent been out much this year due to a bunch of things, but last summer i rode every day i could, id even go out in breaks during the rain, so i rode a lot. there is wear on the center knobs, theyre about half gone.
what do you ride? how aggressively? and like, what tricks? last year my trick bag was rather empty, and i like never skid... i dunno, my tires have held up really well. i hate them though...
