good clay and lots of hard work, there no special way of doing it you just pile the dirt up and compact it into shape with the back of a spade, after a few weeks it sets rock hard and that it your done

thats huge u must have to pedal like shit for the first to get up that take off must be atlest a good jump to get speed for the next any 1 360 it or fliped it yet ?

ohh yer and were do u get your mud theres like no holes any were and theres no pump pits ?

flag Trailboss-Dan (Jul 20, 2009 at 12:51)
the first jumps are quite small, its a long line. i dunno if you've heard of Danny Pace, hes a local here he did a 360 on it although its a hip so more like a 270.
and we get the mud from a dig hole, theres a pic in my random album, its pretty big.

ok kwl, bt by top soil do u mean loose dirt piled or like solid bricks of dirt going down like steps like the 1s @ the jumps down the botem?
and top soil u mean the 1st layer of dirt during digging b4 u get 2 the clay is it?
thanks its big help 4 when im bulding Big Grin

yeh the top soil is the shitty first layer and no blocks just loose. you can use blocks if the top layer hold togeather well its quicker but no matter how well you pile them up you end up with lots of spaces between them and they will settle alot more.

thanks 4 the info bn a big help, nt long cum in frm lking 4 a new spot 2 build @ as my jumps always get wrecked Frown
so it beter 2 use loose dirt ye....if so how wld u do this because the dirt cums out as blocks naturaly, tools 2 brake it up 1st or pile it as it comes?
thanks Big Grin

flag Trailboss-Dan (Aug 18, 2009 at 14:08)
yeh loose probably best, just put it on as it comes and stand on it to comapact it, building after rain will help as the ground will be softer and the dirt will stick togeather and compact easier

oh ok thanks, will get right back 2 building dirt jumps agen 2moz as i have nothing better 2 do whyle im off ingured lol Frown ready 4 ma big cum back en ini lol
1 mo thing then is weather, i noticed that u put sheets over your jumps, y wld u do that if the rain sticks it together better?
and dus it help 2 take a lil bit of water up with u 2 splash ova @ the end 2 stick?
thanks Big Grin

you need the dirt quite wet so it sticks when your piling it up. the covers are mainly for the winter when we're not riding there not on all the time if the jumps are a bit dry we let them get wet.
