would a vivid or RC4 preform better on this?

RC4.

its a more race specific and tunable dampening system. it gets rid of the mumbo jumbo that you DON'T need on the DHX (for racing that is.) and replaces it with high/low speed compression high/low speed rebound, and a velocity valve bottom out damper.

using the high/low compression/rebound you can further tune it to your specific riding style, and the course you are riding.

where as the DHX 5.0 has propedal (essentially a blowoff valve type system) it has rebound, and bottom out. and your just stuck with the stock dampening.

both still great shocks.

uh this seems alot like the c.r.a.p dropout system on the transition bank like basically the exact same thing
