its a shame you have to use them with their cranks only though.

the cranks in the picture are FSA

they work BEST with their cranks as i read in decline but notice the adapter there.
in decline it shows a colapsed version and that brass looking piece is the adapter

i was thinkin the same thing!! any idea what they're made of? i can't see aluminum being enough.

i think layered alum or magnes, or maybe steel, be strong though though they look weak, it would be like damascus.

I remember these in DIRT and they are vey strong and work great. I just dont like them as what if they cut the crap out of your leg.
