Muttley your second hand boXXers that you got to save some money seemed to have turned into 2010 boXXers. How has this happened?

Well, those ones i bought as much as i tried, were shot, TF quoted £250 to fix em, before the new stanchion. so then i though if i sell the ragged ones off for spares for like 150-200, get back the 120 id paid for the stanchion, then i get paid next week and its also my birthday, i could pretty much afford these. had to borrow a bit from the rents, but they were alright with that as im off to switzerland on friday for 2 weeks, and wouldnt have had a bike to ride otherwise.

Hey man, im running a similar setup, new boxxers on 88 frame, feels super lush when they are both setup right. If there are mechanics over in switzerland who know what they are doing (and you have the cash) definitely get them to service the fork. I had mine serviced, lower seals stretched i think, or they may have sanded them down a tiny bit because they are way too tioght from the factory, after that because im a light guy, i had them cut down the bottom out damper a small bit because its massive (way bigger than ever before). Now...its feels incredible. I would definitely suggest having it done, even when you get back to send it off to TF tuned.

well yeah these are the races so dont have the bottom out damper, ive worked on RS alot before so i immediately tore them down, fully greased and lubed everything etc, and am using Juice lubes on the stanchions, they run with almost 0 stiction, truly awesome.
