you missed the point, no 12 year old requires that kind of bike...you would be better off learning on something smaller.

i had a shred 2-4 for 3 years and sunk 3000$ into it, so my dad decided to get me somthing better so that he wouldnt have to spend more

what i was getting at is no matter how you ride, a dh bike like that is pointless for a 12 year old. you should be on a hardtail.

i WAS on a HT it BROKE too many times because of how HARD i ride and plus i BROKE BEYOND REPAIR my old rear shock....

12 year olds don't ride hard, their frail little bodies don't weight enought to damage a real bike. buy a quality hardtail, you'd be much better off.

i can controll it fine, i keep up to some sponsored riders from here,and sence i have gotten it i have grown alot so i can controll it even better now

EDIT: P.S the kid rides double black, he rides double black as fast as anyone one the mountain, so maybe you should think, and learn, or do a little research before u open your mouth next time
