so it works well with something the company say do not do? sounds like a good idea.......

and by the way if you didnt already no kona's are already well known for snapping even if there designed for triples ect.

by putting triples on your channging the head angle and putting the forks at an agle that is like puting a crowbar in a crate or something. When you apply a fair amount of force its gonna pop that crate open or your bike in this case so if you hit something hard/case that crowbar is just gonna do what is ment do!

kaa booom... sad little boy with a broken bike Wink

over and out ;D

wat so ur saying a bit of soft travel is going to snap a solid metal headtube, well wat a load of shit, u see more ALOT more normal bikes snap there frames thn hardtails with triples, and kona do not say, no bike company say that there frames will snap!!!

Harris plenty of people ride from experance or other peoples mastakes and alot of pro riders wont ride a 15 - 18" hardtail with dual crown just simply the fact that THEY SNAP

and just cos he has the travel on slow rebound or soft dosnt mean that the head tubing couldnt snap its the inpact of the forks which reli on the frames strength and dual crowns on a dj frame dont mix and if you look carfully at what Kona state they state that a single dj frame can take up to 130mm single crown of travel so get your facts right first mate i just looked it up and have a manual from my local bike shop on kona Shreds, Kona stinkys, Stabbs, and more

i have the 06 version of this frame and harris 93 and calviper are right these frames aren't supposed to be run with a fork of over 130 mm never mind with a dual crown fork. I have seen people try and do this with dj frames before and yes my friend the frames snap

what the hell is it with people with hardtails and triples!!!!!!!!!!! 1 it spoils the looks of the bike, 2 puts alot more stress on the headtube leading to stress fractures to the headtube and the it will snap
