ya put chicken wire or grip tape, hmm so if he does slip out on the transition he'll just get mad road rash. Chicken wire and grip tape don't do sh*t.

Just get a blow torch and use that to dry the wood out when you want to hit it.

That is a ridiculous suggestion... The risk of it catching fire isn't really the issue, it's more just the effort involved in doing that would not be worth it. You would be far better to just rough up the boards a bit with a chain saw or any number of other methods. But taking fire to a wooden ramp in the woods would not be my first idea.
