Ah, so it is. Regardless it's just enough travel for the SX frame. I had a Reba at 100mm on my Blur 4X for a while, quite a nice light fork.

How much does your bike weigh?
If I could take a shot in the dark, I'd say 31lb (give or take a half pound).

by stripping i assume taking all the padding out of it? and running the plate that mounts to the rails? how much weight did you save? i have a couple of carbon slr's I could see doing that to...
i have to agree with you there ive gone through the whole weight weenie thing and it sucks i just broke everything 
i could see the possibility to that for a 4x specific bike, but my trail bike, the only one I have a picture of, i would not. it makes sense if you are trying to get as light as possible, but there are many other things you can do before you need to get that drastic.
Drastic? I use it for 4x/dual tracks, and other stuff where you don't go and sit while riding... And when you stand still, it's comfy enough to sit and chill ;-)

well, I understand, and that is what I said. I think it makes sense for a purpose built bike like the sx, I have an 07 (black on finished metal) and I think it's a reasonable thing to do to the slr carbon I have on it. I only say drastic because it involves work, instead of say new bars or another part.
well it looks big and chunky and has rear sus so i thought it was a dh bike.
