And before you cut it, make sure you draw the other radius too Wink Its such a bitch if you forget.

wrong, you cut one and use it as a template or all the radius's will be off. Ive built a HUGE park so i know.

exactly, tracing makes way more sense.

Imagin having to actually do that everytime though, ramps would take FOREVER.

As a carpenter, you will get fired if you do that. Templates are for stair stringers, and rafter tails. Thats it.

as a ramp maker youll get fired if you do it 20 times. THE RADIUS'S WILL BE OFF?!?!

for ramp building, using a stencil makes so much sense.

They will be off if you do it 5 times. By about 1" - 1 1/2, which is a shitload.

If you keep using the string or board method yes they will be off wack, but not if you trace a perfect radius.

string method is horrible, the string stretches and such. i use 2x4's. if you do it properly, tracing it out every time will work fine. personally, i trace it out on one sheet then cut 2 sheets screwed together so i get 2 sheets out of each cut. then i trace one side for the other one and cut 2 sheets again. bam, 4 sides cut.

I use a carpenters compass which takes less time than tracing and its much more accurate. A 2x4 is quicker than tracing too.

ok, now its gonna be 8-10 feet wide, obviously there is gonna be a need for some sort of support in the middle. Do i have to draw out 1 more or can i use something different?

draw out 3 sides and put it in the middle. you can either offset the braces or put the screws/nails in on an angle.

3 sheets of plywood is enough for the sides, then 4-6 sheets of 3/8" for the surface. plus the 2x4's
