what about that makes it deserving of an 1100$ price tag? the fact Brandon and Cam ride them? it looks like a fairly generic AL DJ hardtail. What sets this apart from say a STP, or a Chase other then the fact trek was smart enough at least to put on a horizontal drop out.

when you can get an hand made MOB, Tonic Fab, or a MBF(with custom geo) for the less or the same, I can't see how the price is justifiable.
