what is this nonsense? am i seeing things? all i gotta say is.. ack.. *cough.. POD
im annoyed that the guy doesnt have a helmet on because this should be POD! i can imagine his wrists suffered because looks like he didnt come down tail heavy to soften the landing!
sick!! there is a very similar spot at the end of this video http://www.pinkbike.com/video/4694/ but the trick in the video is even crazyer!!!
No, Nico is still waiting for his Cult cranks to come in. The ones he broke were a new set of Odyssey.
nice one! almost looks like those stairs were made for this... the only thing missing is a nice landing!

Unfortunately it won't get POD because the rider is not wearing a helmet. However, it is quite POD-worthy.
LOL, there have been plenty of POD's without safety gear on.
It really doesn't matter if it does or not though.
I think it's a pretty epic shot, and is already turning up on websites everywhere!

Heh, no worries. Common sense would say that they should pick PODs based on riding skill and composition of shot, not level of safety.
ive seen a vid of a BMXer hit this, and ive actually seen it in person, SOOOO sick, wish i had the balls to hit it....
Haha, everyone says that, but it's only a few feet wide, and you have to go lightning fast to hit this. I don't think it's possible.
dude i pass by that all the time...right of of CPH right....didnt even think of that as a sick and nasty wall ride....might have to try it out, i just think id have to do it with a lid though =/
they build it....we use it... but this almost looks too good to be true..
awesome spot ..awesome action sequence
POD !

I guess you really have to go there and look at it to fully understand how big this is and why only a small handfull of bmx riders have ever done it, and why only one MTB rider ever has.
ive been there before its in santa monica right off pch on the beach i know i just dont think its that impressive on a mtb like most street idk like i guess its just a big drop to start with because its not really a wall its slanted i with that being said its a mtb riding street?
The wall is slightly slanted back, but that's the only thing that makes this possible. You know how big the parking lot next to this is then. In order to get around it you have to hit this wall at full speed from the very corner tip of that parking lot. It's one thing to do a curved wall, but barreling at FULL speed toward a wall that has nothing underneath it, then knowing you are going to drop 14 feet to flat concrete isn't for the average (or some times above average) rider to. It's burly bro.
And yes, he is on a DMR Transition MTB with a rigid fork.
I've done a thousand curved walls. I wouldn't do this one.
Also, if it weren't for the slant on the wall, it couldn't be done. If you watch the video you can see how slow he's going just before he hops off. If it were perfectly vertical.....DEATH!

Trail: It's a bridge!
Riders: Nico Casarramona
Description: This is most likely the most insane curved wall ride on the planet. The area where you drop off of this thing hovers around 15 to 17 feet. To flat concrete. Seconds after this photo was taken, the landing broke a brand new set of crank arms. This is just bad ass!
