Seems like the breaks in between the chain guards could get hung up on imperfections whereas a traditional rounded chain would kind of slide over them. Cool idea though.

Gona have to agree. Rock ledge, rail with chips and knicks or even wood would be too easy to get caught. Great for the coping on the edge of a quarter though.

have to agree aswell. park chain. but then again who wants to change there chain over all the time. traditional half link 1/2x3/16 all the way.

and if it was a dirty railing or whatever, stuff could get stuffed into the links and impair the movement of the chain? just a thought...
