that is not walmart. they just have some walmart bikes. I think they have a completly different line for quality.
Depends on your taste, I love the look of mongoose, but I also love the Sunday's. Too bad I'm 5,5' and these bikes are way too big for me, even the small sizes
i know that, that bike isnt at walmart but most mongoose's sell at walmart. you don't see any big bike shop selling them. they just dont look like sturdy good bikes and i absolutely do not trust that brand at all. thats my opinion if you want one hope it works out
ok so all you have good points, i have the 09 boot'r team. Personally i love that bike more than any other bike. Im not gunna lie, i dont completely trust it either, but i have put that bike through the works and yet it still runs like a beauty. I havent had a problem yet. Now mongooses are sold at walmart and places like that, but its almost like a completely different company that makes them. Besides the name, the walmart and high end bikes are made and delt with differently. Now talk all the shit you want about that, but these bikes kick ass and do what ever other high end DH bike does.
yea. thats what I said in the beginning. And I'm pretty sure he switched to the demo because he saw that Iron Horse was going under.
The shop I work at is a Mongoose dealer and according to what our rep told us the department store bike line and the high end line are completely separate operations. I own a 2009 Boot'r and I love the way it rides and I haven't had problems with it so far. I will definitely be getting the 2010 Boot'r Team for next year.
Thats cool. If I could afford a V-10 I would probably get one but it just doesn't fit my budget right now. Maybe someday.
yes i know, i just love english so much i write essays for everything: heres is a essay about bones:
Bones-The Living Skeleton
They are similar to little factories and essential to life, Bones are what keeps people together and working properly. In the article “Bones-The Living Skeleton” by Carol stone, bones are analyzed and studied to show what they do and can do for people. The article shows and explains what bones are, how they grow, how they repair themselves, and also what can happen to them.
Bones have many purposes in the human body. As stated in the article, “Bones provide both support and protection for soft body tissues (12). Bones are needed to help keep out shape and protect us from injuries. Although bones seem hard, they are actually flexible. This is because bones are mostly made of hydroxyapatite. Since are bones are flexible, it helps absorb impacts better so we don’t get injured. Did you know, when we grow are bones do to! The cells that build are bones are called osteoblasts. Osteoblasts also have the job of repairing bones when they are broken from injuries. “Osteoblasts go to work building new bone (13). But bones don’t always grow, they also get broken down. The cells that break are bones down are called osteoclasts. Bones are not always healthy and working properly though. A common sickness that affects the bones is called osteoporosis. The article states that “osteoporosis tends to reverse the build up, withdraws from the calcium bank account can often outstrip deposits(13). Bones are both essential and helpful, they make people who they are.
Bones are unique to every single person. How the grow with that person, get ill with that person, deteriorate with that person, and repair and rebuild themselves with that person. Bones are a working part of the human body.

cause ihrider said a joke and said he liked my essay i wrote above so as a joke back i actually put one, read the comments
those boxxers are sooo sick!!! i can't quite see but does it have a vivid coil, cane creek or fox dhx rear shock... :S
build's quite nice - but i hate how the frame looks divided in half above the cranks though, looks awkward
It's called the Freedrive...and it is SPECf*ckINTACULAR. I used to buy a new ride every season. I got on Mongoose and haven't left in 32 years. In fact...I own 4 now, my Khyber being my favorite. But I have an older EC-X and another ECD in the mail right now...so that might change...
there's some video on some interbike article where some mongoose tech explains the whole deal, but what I remember is that:
its basically a single pivot that has a link on the bottom bracket that eliminates pedal bob and brake jack. it also allows the pivot to be really high, so it has a rearward axle path. but basically it feels really good, i have the same suspension design on an older bike of theirs. good stuff.
