it has an air shock and a coil?does it get the travel of both combined?
  • + 3
flag suicidedownhiller (Sep 7, 2009 at 13:16)
It gets about 75% of travel from the first shcok, and about 2/3rds of the way through the first shocks travel, the second starts, smoothing out the impact and providing a seemless switch from the two shocks. Total travel is 12.5-13 inches

so the first shock like softens stutter bumps and the dhx is for the bigger hits?
  • + 1
flag suicidedownhiller (Sep 7, 2009 at 16:55)
The other way around, it's all for big hits really. This is Josh Benders bike. The first shock is for DH and small drops, and then the bigger you go, the more the other one adds in

flag Downhiller-13 (Sep 8, 2009 at 20:07)

What are the forks and why did you swap out the risse shocks for the fox's ?
  • + 1
flag suicidedownhiller (Oct 23, 2009 at 21:40)
I never had risses, this is my bike, made for me, and it came with the foxs, it's an 08/09 model. It is a 888 WC RC3 2008 model.

flag socast01 (Oct 24, 2009 at 5:44)
When ever I have seen these frames. Even brand new for sale thay always have 2 risses. Maybe your local bike shop mayde a little more money out of you than you though ?

flag suicidedownhiller (Oct 24, 2009 at 9:30)
What? This bike isn't sold as a new model, it's a limited run special edition bike made by karpiel for 2009-2010. The OLD ones had risses stock, but only a handful of them ever reached an actual bike shop.

I never got this bike from a bike shop, I got it directly from karpiel, straight from Jan himself in poland, as I am sponsored by them. They sent me the frame and mailed me the two shocks from fox

I wasn't even entirely sure they went into bike shops, it's special order only this year...

I had a look on the website, they have the fox's on now. Like you said its the old ones that have the risses on. Also giving someone negative props because they have a different opinion other than yours is pretty gay. I asked you a question nothing more.

flag suicidedownhiller (Oct 24, 2009 at 10:54)
I didn't give you neg props haha. I don't know who did. But yeah, the old ones had risses stock I guess.
