If you look closely, you can see that the headtube is only a couple inches higher than the seat tube. I thought the bars were too high when I was looking at the pictures before I bought it, but I ended up buying hi-rise bars to make them higher. It's just a matter of removing the spacers or putting on lower bars (which I will be including).

Smart people don't cut steartube much, if at all, to keep the resale value of a fork higher. It's okay, not everyone knows this.
