when u paint u shud sand the frame right??
  • + 1
flag knightridersix04 (Dec 1, 2009 at 17:19)
no, wire wheel then primer, then sand the primer smooth with high number sand paper then another coat of primer, repeat and paint 2-3 coats allowing 15-30 minutes between coats then put on as much clear coat as you want

most people just use paint stripper or use a wire wheel on a grinder or w/e and some people used white as a primer but if you are painting it black or a dark colour there is really no need and the use a clear coat and i let it sit for about an hour before doing another caot so the paint is dry all the way through

watbout for rims ????? how do i spray them properly
  • + 1
flag knightridersix04 (Dec 1, 2009 at 21:09)
take off the hub and spokes and repeat above
  • + 1
flag teamn2 (Dec 1, 2009 at 22:15)
unless you are just doing the hoop the all you really have to do is tape around the nipples and baisicly cover the bottom half of all of the spokes and your fine to go

i did tat but then when i put on the tire the paint ripped off the rim
  • + 1
flag knightridersix04 (3 days ago)
because you used the wrong type of paint, most likely only put on 1 coat and most likely didn't use any clear coat

flag yaboyz (3 days ago)
umm yes i did it said use fro palstic and metal and i clear coated too soo wat am i doing wrong ??? and do u wet sand after clear coat ???
  • + 1
flag teamn2 (3 days ago)
after clear coat you are done do nothing.... and for your paint falling off it is probably because you did it in a really hot or cold area and it didnt drie properly or soemthing like that or the paint under was not gone in the first place
