im going to have to say that this isnt really pod worthy. there are so much better pics than this and i know im gonna get negative props but ahwell

I don't think this should be pod. It's to plain. Not uniquie. Seen it way to many times on these last couple pods.
For all of those complaining of the photo, I'd like to see you replicate this. The photo is amazingly crisp, the quality is superb and the guy is pinning it. What more do we need for POD? Stupid colors, a crazy trick, and an insane backdrop? No. This photo deserves its POD position.
I think this has got POD not because its great photography or even a paticulary good section of riding (all respect to those guys though, dont get me wrong!!!) but i do think its POD because a photo is supposed to do a number of things, including tell a story, and this does, it conjours up that race feeling, the nerves and anxiety and to me this photo is a little bit of a story about a young kiwi who kept his cool under untold pressure in the finale of one of the greatest world cup seasons to date...

I think we've had a few to many DH PODs in a row...mabey time to switch it up?...including the freerideing one two days ago.
yeah im a big fan of DH but come on pinkbike, i have a great deal of respect for all types of riding, some 4X PODs would be sweet
and some bmx ones too, i like variety in my PODS, havent seen too much of that recently, but no offence i like the pic

Im from NZ and im not a gay little fan boy so i still wear gloves. i value the skin on my hands. this is a great photo but there are some more deserving of POD. nevertheless i do love this picture

boring, but the contrast in surface and texture is amazing. as a photograph it's superb, but i mean yeah, conceptually; it's pretty boring.

its not a watch, idiots its a timing divice that they wear for personal timing, they have some magnetic poles at the top adn bottom you can buy them for yourself to train with 
that way you can push yourself and see how much faster you can get on tracks accuratly.

What kind of material is the 40 stanchion made out of and can you get it in that gold color? It looks amazing!
I gotta say this isn't the best POD. Usually I'm the one defending these piks but this one doesn't make the cut, in my opinion though.
What's with people not wearing gloves? Is that some sort of new trend? Not a bad pic but wear some freakin gloves!!!!! No gloves especially on DH = stupid!

idk if i'm looking at the same picture as some of you, but this is the worst pod i've seen in a while, and they've all been pretty bad lately.
