First, look at the crack. Its TINY, tiny tiny tiny. I just put it in there to be fair, but its been OK'd by a bunch of guys that work on high level machine work. As in, fighter planes and such.

Second, retail is about $3700.

This thing is a steal. If you've ever seen a Nicolai up close you'll understand why the price is what it is. Most beautifully crafted bikes. Period.

I've seen this frame in person and I have seen the crack. It's the smallest thing ever and not even an issue. The chunk of aluminum its on is so thick you would literally have to jump off a building sideways and land that same way for it to break, and even then it might not.

I have looked up close at the rest of the frame and it looks great.

I know the seller personally and he would not try to sell a frame that he feels isn't good enough for someone to man handle. If you have never seen an M-pire in person you really should before you pass this up. And if you have seen one up close then you know how beefy it is.
