Perfection
i love the frame and such but call me stupid or w.e you may, but i feel as if it looks some what a cross country look, the seat post tube, seem rather high, with the forks, and bars sitting so low, but still nice bike.
k-rider92- it does look that way. but i have never seen anyone running a direct mount stem with that little rise. in fact, all the guys on the local trek team run regular stems, not direct mount. so i guess trek has allowed for the ability to run such a low front end...but apperently no one digs it
i still think it is nice. but, i am use to high rise bars, and i agreesive positioning on my motorcross bike and on my Demo 9. but i still believe its very nice
No, the frame is exactly the same. That being said, it is a race bike, similar to the Intense Socom, so the materials are naturally weaker in order to save weight.
well personally, i believe that a dh bike shouldn't dint so easy and should so they can be so easily broken.
We ride down rocks. we jump off cliffs. whats out motivation to do any of this if by slipping off once thats several grand down the drain?
My equation for the 2011 Trek Session 88: More strength, slightly more weight. But apart from that they are great bikes, with "good" geo and parts. And are great for racing, as long as you don't put your bike down to hard when you cross the finish line... you might dint the frame... you never know.

do you reckon semenuck and mccaul would be experiencing the same problems as everyone else with their session 88s? i reckon they should make a freeride frame that is shorter and beefier
yes they would. but they get a new frame when ever.

Well Trek makes a freeride bike now called the Scratch, so I figure that's what McCaul and Semenuk will be riding on instead of Session 88 FRs.
For slopestyle they'll undoubtedly be running their custom 4" travel Remedy frames, since the geometry on the 2010 Remedy frames is a far cry from that of the 2009 models.

erm thats the same as the current 88 FR mate, thats not shorter or beefier :L"
I know thats the same, but the fact is that they are obviously putting out new one this year. it way not be beefier... but yeah so what, its till a 88 free-ride.

Actually they aren't making the Session 88 FR for 2010. It's not listed on either website (both dealer-only and consumer).
I work at a Trek dealer and have checked the dealer-only site called "Dexter" that tells you what bikes are coming out before they're even on the consumer site. They do not list a 2010 Session 88 FR.
nope.

You can't be f*cked? That's sad, I feel sorry for you. Is it a medical thing, or are you just too much of a delicate emotional flower to take the stress?

props for that response.
