wouldn't mind giving that a try. pretty impressive rear sus setup. still a little apprehensive with carbon on a AM bike, after your first big crash your frame would be eff'ed right?

the rear suspension design might as well be a santacruz heckler, it's just a fancier and easier way to get more travel out of a single pivot suspension design that still locks out the suspension under breaking

Carbon fiber is pretty strong, light yet strong.

its linkage activated and the shock is floating. you cant even call this a single pivot.

as far as i'm concerned it has far more than one pivot point, so its not a single pivot. my bike is a single pivot, this is not.

Umm yeah did you happen to look at the picture... I think there may be multiple pivot points unless I am seeing things mate...

Actually it is a single pivot bike, there is only one axis that the swing arm moves, in theory, the swingarm moves in a circular motion, but the radius is large enough and the design of the swingarm, that it appears to only move up and down in its available travel, there are no pivots at the rear of the stays either, take look at this image -> http://www.pinkbike.com/photo/4051520/ the other linkages are to control the shocks linear movement and compression to compensate for the swingarms arching motion

racealot is exactly right, its a single pivot with linkage activated shock, the same way as a kona is a single pivot, put simply there is only 1 pivot point connecting the frame to the rear wheel, ergo "single" pivot.... as for the linkage system on this bike its pretty much the same system u would find on a commencal of on an old giant vt
