Thanks but I have to say that pics do not do it justice. This will more than likely be the nicest bike I will ever own.

flag pipes10 (Sep 23, 2009 at 15:24)
No kidding eh, been raining for a few days now. No maiden voyage yet as it's not quite complete. Tomorrow probably.

Haha, that would bring me back to the good ol' days. All that I have here is an LED headband light that needs new batteries. However, I did take it out in the back woods for a little ride. Holy sweet!!!

You'll def have to let me know how the Nomad is, the wheels (more for curiousity) and also let me know how long it takes you to find the sweet spot in the shock.

Will do. Also, next time you are in the area hit me up and you can take a spin on it.

It rained this mornign a little and hasn't yet, although they are calling for more. Everything is pretty wet including my deck which is a bad sign. I'm gonna test out the lights tonight on some mellow crushed gravel trails (Georgian Trail).

looks dope! but why the suspension seat post?
  • + 1
flag pipes10 (Sep 23, 2009 at 15:32)
Thanks. It's not a suspension post it's an adjustable seatpost (Crank Brothers Joplin remote). I flick a switch on the handle bar and it drops for the descents, I flick the switch again to get it to come back up for climbs and flats.

I freaking love it. I normally dislike those wheels, but for some reason they look rad on your bike.

Thanks. I must admit I didn't like them either when they first came out but they grew on me.

nice Smile
i'm in two minds about those at the moment. They look pretty nice but how long will they last with so few spokes? Confused

flag pipes10 (Oct 1, 2009 at 14:23)
The wheels are stiff and hold their trueness from all the info I've gathered and that's throughout the various models.
  • + 2
flag rolto1822 (Oct 1, 2009 at 14:26)
awesome! what's their strength comparable to though? 729s/mtx's or something?
  • + 1
flag pipes10 (Oct 1, 2009 at 14:29)
They feel just as stiff as the 2 pairs of 823s/Hopes Pro 2s I have but with much better engagement.
  • + 2
flag rolto1822 (Oct 1, 2009 at 14:37)
:O wow! id be REALLY surprised if they matched the strength of 823's though, they're pretty strong rims! love pro 2's Smile

flag pipes10 (Oct 1, 2009 at 14:38)
So far they feel just as stiff but we'll see how they hold up long term. The engagement on the CB hub really puts the Hopes to shame.
