BEEN THERE! Riding a big line in a park, and an idiot woodpusher drops in, takes me out, and his board destroyed 4 of my spokes in my front wheel. At least he got more messed up than me, and the end of his board was chipped to hell!
the skaters do get in the way, but i dont say anything, and i wait my turn, becuase i dont wanna get TRUCK f*ckED!
ya but its different when the biker is boosting this high. its the skaters fault obviously, if i see a skater droppin about to boost something big then i sure as hell wont get in the way. should apply vice versa too

what ever happened to park edicate. thats coming from a biker and skater. and in my days of skaten the bmx'r would have been punked down and left bloody on the concret. but thats also why i can't go to a skate park in ohio and legally ride my bike
YUP. I'm in DC and same story. So, I get up at 6am to ride while all the skaters are recovering from drinking too much Pabst (or their Moms are waking them up for school).
Problem I encounter, is that the wood-pushers don't respect drop-in order when I'm around... But, how much can I say when I'm not allowed to be there in the first place.

things have changed then, well at my bit anyway, the BMX's would beat the crap out the skaters, and hey they deserve it for not having a good sport and getting in the way 
what makes you think they don't have a good sport? they enjoy skating as much as we enjoy biking and maybe just maybe your getting in their way. after all it is called a skatepark so be respectful
in scotland like 9/10 places allow mtb's never mind bmx's. no controversy, we usually get along. we work as a team to keep the jakye neds at bay :L
skateparks around here never bother with bikers anymore. If we hit someone its not going to end well for the skater though. We carry more inertia through mass and speed, and to top it off we have more control... at least in general. It used to be much different say a year or so ago though, bikers would flee when the cops came.... very lame
It's fully legal in Mississauga to ride at a skate park lol never used to be up untill a couple years ago

eric palmer has the right idea here. there is nothing wrong with skateboarding. people really need to get overthemselves and take a step off of there throne and realize that biking isnt the only "cool" thing out there. hell bikers should thank skaters, if it wasnt for them, there would be no parks to ride because they started it all. you have to pay respect where respect is due.

yeah you can said evrythig you want but they can go to skate in evry single park in my town they are like 5 indor skateparks and in only one you can ride you bike because its a public one but also they are loads of publics skatepark that ur not allowed to ride ur bike :s

Just because it's called skatepark it doesn't necsseairly mean that it's for skateboards my local is built 100% for bmx but it's still known as a skatepark but it doesn't give skaters any rights over us. Really i say just watch out for each other then there isn't going to be no problems between bmx'ers or skaters
