flag seraph (Oct 1, 2009 at 9:36)
Yeah but it looks like that glossy white that would get dirty really easily.

flag robo-cop (Oct 1, 2009 at 21:34)
too bad its not i a flat black, cus i have the black g2 and a flat black crank set would be sick, and not look as dirty as the white.

flag seraph (Sep 25, 2009 at 17:59)
They look like FSA Afterburners to me.
  • + 2
flag DynamicQ (Oct 1, 2009 at 5:31)

flag hendu (Oct 1, 2009 at 9:50)
i thought saint at first too
  • + 1
flag Rattsl (Oct 1, 2009 at 10:20)
I thought they were white Saints from far away... even the shape is very similar.
  • + 0
flag hendu (Oct 1, 2009 at 11:02)
the shape is what made me think that

flag michael-scott (Oct 1, 2009 at 13:34)
who cares?
  • + 0
flag seraph (Oct 1, 2009 at 13:44)
Well if they're FSA, then they'll explode or fall apart or catch on fire.

flag skierdud89 (Oct 1, 2009 at 16:08)
I'm sure they're one of the two simply in an MRP paint job.
  • + 0
flag seraph (Oct 1, 2009 at 16:14)
Definitely not Saints.
  • + 1
flag hendu (Oct 1, 2009 at 17:18)
dude your retarded they are obviously not saints or fsa there mrp they just coppied the idea they look like saints mrp is not stupid enough to just "paint a fsa or saint crank"
  • + 0
flag seraph (Oct 1, 2009 at 17:24)
It's not a matter of stupidity, it's money. It's cheaper to take an already existing crank model and put your name on it than it is to make a completely new one.
  • + 1
flag hendu (Oct 1, 2009 at 17:35)
well no shit but if that was legal then every company would do that but theres these things called patents and copy rights makes it so only you can use your design and if anyone else takes it you got a law suit on your hands i dont think mrp is looking for a law suit they did not just paint another set of cranks....

flag seraph (Oct 1, 2009 at 19:04)
There's also this thing called "licensing." How else do you think Norco uses FSR on their bikes? How do Santa Cruz and Intense use VPP?

flag iggz (Oct 1, 2009 at 22:40)
They are these crankarms with an integrated spindle.

Whoever said they looked like Saints is blind

flag seraph (Oct 1, 2009 at 23:06)
Good eye, Iggy.
  • + 0
flag hendu (Oct 2, 2009 at 9:44)
well that link is not saints and saints do have integraited spindles
  • + 1
flag seraph (Oct 2, 2009 at 9:58)
I guess hendu's one of the blind ones then.

flag iggz (Oct 2, 2009 at 10:23)
Apparently...

flag skierdud89 (Oct 2, 2009 at 11:01)
hendu plenty of bike companies pay for technologies from other companies and put their name on it. some people might remember how huffy had a road racing team in the late 80's and early 90's however they were simply there riders usual bikes in a huffy paintjob.

flag seraph (Oct 2, 2009 at 11:28)
Or the "Haro dh bike" that was just an Intense Uzzi DH painted blue with Haro stickers on it.

they look like what saints would look like if shimano was smart and followed trends lol
  • + 1
flag domster (Oct 1, 2009 at 6:08)
I should let this go, but I'll bite...

How is following trends being smart?

flag thehustler (Oct 1, 2009 at 6:57)
What he meant was so they could sell more. like deity for example.
  • + 1
flag AustinSedz (Oct 1, 2009 at 10:23)
because black is cool but everyone likes to have a flashy bike and trends pretty much define what is flashy without being stupid looking. Hense shimano should make white products so they are flashy and attractive cause sure black is functional looking but it doesnt stand out to someone who doesn't know any better.

flag danny-oli (Oct 3, 2009 at 10:13)
but the new saints are black with polished silver designs there stealthy black aith cool specs of silver and gold what more could you want ?

flag AustinSedz (Oct 3, 2009 at 13:05)
white
  • + 1
flag domster (Oct 4, 2009 at 20:09)
There is still a good number of people who like "functional looking" much more than standing out.

because if shimano were to make pure snazzy coloured products then people would by their shit .I think the closest to anodising theiv done is the little hints of gold on the saint components.
  • + 1
flag lukeanderson31 (Oct 1, 2009 at 6:29)
but, the saint's are strong, and not exactly that heavy, and thats why most people buy them

not because they are a "pure snazzy coloured product", i'd sacrifice colour for strength any day
  • + 1
flag seraph (Oct 1, 2009 at 9:36)
You should check out Shimano Yumeya if you want snazzy.
