ohh f*ck.. i can relate to that
to irde89 so many people did that off that drop and trust me he got away pretty good but i bet you if he see's this pic he will think its cool
Great timing, harsh bottoming! Its a good thing he has googles on, cause it would suck even more to get an eye full of brake lever screw.
sorry didnt know was just pasting all the pics that were on my comp related to biking all props go to you
Eh dont worry about it. It's kinda inevitable. Every POD has probably been reposted about 10 times...lol
Nah, its not bottoming out, he's just pimped it. Its running on Air rides. He's just slammed it to the Weeds. I'm sure i saw that bike on 'Pimp my Tomac' the other week...
Great Pic! Deserves POD!
Pinkbike!!!! I can't believe you guys gave POD to someone who even said "not my photo" in the description. If I was raging-hippo I'd be so pissed, and any other photographer who may have been ripped off before.
Wow shouldn't the person that took this picture get POD...not the person that stole it..shame

he is now flatter than the saskatchewan prairies (canadians and some other countries will know what i mean)
not to be a doush or anything but i have a friend who his DJ3s that go all the way just pushing on them, it is like thier arent even internals it just hits the bottom and makes a bang sound. but this is the most bottom out DH forks in a picture i have ever seen. props to the person who took this.
Guys dont get pissed at nic for posting the photo, it's the mods that chose the photo to be poD even though he said it wasnt his photo in the description and i had alredy posted acknowledging where the original photo is and that I took it...

His face hasn't got a handlebar shaped hole in it = the full face has done its job. Are you saying you would rather do that in a pisspot?
[Reply]
wowow, there's like half an inch travel left on his forks, which probs could never be possible to reach, lmao, OUCHA. Good timing though

Why do people always say on a bottoming out picture "ah that makes your bike/fork crap"? Do people not realize that their own bikes look like that sometimes? Forks/shocks are designed to absorb impacts and thus will inherantly bottom out. It also depends on how you like to run your shock, with sag/ramp up etc etc; just cus it bottoms out on something smaller doesn't mean that all those type of forks are shit.
Secondly i'm totaly with Byangoma; don't pass judgment on something unless you have extensively tested it yourself, just because you own a set of forks doesn't make all the competition shit. Also once again its down to personal preferance, I have raced with both Boxxers and 40's and I personally prefer 40s but as mentioned above, modern race forks are all of a very similair standard thus in the end its down to what the individual rider prefers.

The pic might have touched a sore spot w/ justhixon (his face?) from personal experience(s)?
Justhixon, can you whistle thru your two missing front teeth for me?

justhixon is upset he was really hoping the pod was going to be him piping his brother off

This might be irritating to hear, but dude, your front tire pressure is WAY too high. A flat-landing-bottom-out-your-DH-bike-smash-your-eye-on-your-bar compression should take your tire to the rim. You are not getting the responsiveness and traction that you would get from lower tire pressure (with or without UST tires and rims). Sorry about your eye.
exactly how I broke my nose, gave myself two black eyes, and a concussion during a race..... still managed to pull off first place though.
uuuggghhh! fork compressed, rear wheel pushed right in his ass, wrists bended... that impact pushed everything down!!!

To all the people who are bitching about this being stolen, READ THE DAMN COMMENTS AND DESCRIPTION! Not only is it being stated that the picture isn't his, but he is giving full credit to the original owner! THEY AREN'T MAKING A BIG DEAL ABOUT IT SO WHY ARE YOU.
I rode in this race, this was the big drop before going left onto the fire trail. Last round of the sunny series.
