I heard Barel ran 59.2 at Schladming, might be wrong though.

I could believe that. A few years ago 65 degree was looked at as super slack and now it is the norm... and many bikes are 64 or 63. So seeing as he going much faster then 99% of the regular riders out there, I could believe it... especially on suck a fast course.

Yeah, the slack is extreme. But I'm sure they engineered it for strength, there are teams of technical minds and riders behind these race frames, so I'm confident its somehow OK. lol.

looks slacker then it is, the crowns are way too high. the 40 has like 250mm of travel in that pic.

It has an ecentric(?) headset, can be adjusted plus or minus 2 degrees...
And yeah, my old ECD has a 64.5 HA and I use it as my trail bike.
