Haha so true.
there are so many versions of "it takes one ball to play soccer but two to dh," but this...its kinda clever hahaha
Nice work. This is quite a clever variation from the typical "Because golf and football only require one ball" motivator.
doesnt really take balls. just lots of practice and determination. plus what about girl racers. doesnt really work
takes balls to pin it down a fort william rock garden or get loose down champery! so think before you speek
fort william eh. alls you do is roll down it first. then practice it faster and faster not that hard plus. ive raced before its easay to get good at one race course no matter whats on it if u just practice
mate, you have no idea what the top boys are doing down that track, it's ridiculous. you just have no respect.
couldent agree more! hill , peaty , minnar ,blenkinsop..any of them would make you look pathetic on a wc curcit track. you would barley be able to walk down it! have some respect for what thse guys do!
lets not feed the monkeys guys. he's obviously a shit talker and hasn't really gotten a chance to ride gnarly terrain. his comments make it quite obvious. first off, he's probably never been to fort williams. secondly "first you roll down it and get faster and faster." i've seen rock or rooty sections i bet this mofo couldn't ride down. its quite impressive when you show up at a track that is easier to get down on your bike than your feet.
Come on dude i made the damn picture for fun why do you have to be ass and critique it to death? If it offends you sorry it was a joke.
i know its just dh isnt really a ballsey thing those pros train and practice all year so they have no problem riding gnarly courses. its not like they point down a rooty rockey chute and hope for the bests. they know what there doin. like a racer wouldnt think a video like this http://www.pinkbike.com/video/102205/ takes balls but its all what every ones likes to do
well see the point of the picture is saying other sports don't take "balls" i grew up racing motos, bikes and pretty much anything else with an engine. the only team sport i ever played was hockey which i played for 6 years. playing hockey taking skill stamina, thinking etc. but getting on the ice doesn't take balls or you don't experience the "sacking up and hitting it" effect like you do when you hit a triple no one else is hitting in moto. or you hit the 50 foot double and national champs for the first time.
besides... you are critiquing it with stupid points. you are comparing apples to apples. saying downhill takes balls, is referring to other team sports that don't take much. but you are comparing this poster with something so alike you contradict yourself! as far as this poster goes i'd say it represents "freeride" downhill and moto. as it is simply comparing "downhill" with sports that play with "a ball"
That picture of Fairclough is my desktop wallpaper. This one is better than all the other ones that say "Football and golf only require one ball".
