Simply awesome...........nice work!
Do people think this shouldnt make POD? B/c there are alot of positive comments with negative ratings behind them. I think its pretty f*cken awesome. Props to Jerry. I think this makes POD b/c of the fact that it is a self portrait. And that itself if pretty bitchin!! (bitchin = fantastic shot)
yeah nice angle...and the trail looks awesome! the trees are so green, the sky is soo blue.
this pic is perfect, realy realy perfect.
good choice for POD.

I could have put reasons, but I imagined all the kids out there would negative prop me for it so I didnt bother.
But yes, sky is wayy overdone, kind of ruins the photo for me.
Though - he says it was a self portrait, so if he did it with a timer then props

Yeah, blue in the sky is overdone... what can I say, I didn't upload this intending it to be "Photo Ripped up of the Day" or anything
and didn't notice the overcooked blue until it was uploaded...
@ Jezzah - in your opinion, if I toned the sky down back to reality - would it qualify as a better photograph?
@ Codak: Thanks for the attempt at constructive criticism, but just pointing out what you don't like does not constitute constructive criticism... ie: "could have been done better" - HOW could it have been done better? - offering a tip on how to improve the image would be constructive... Also, I looked at your gallery - I agree, Jezzah has some pretty keen photography, top notch for sure. I believe he is a class of technicality above you or I - but I dont agree that you have anything that qualifies as "better" in your gallery. Just my opinion though, and I appreciate your time, thank you....

Haha, Ta bud.
If you toned down the sky it would distract less from the rider and make the whole thing look brighter, give it a shot.
Theres always crit with PODs
(unless its a sterling lorence photo)

i meant the blue could have been done better. but im not into car pics so the biking ones i have up are not as good as the challenger pics
I think the longest is about 1.5 miles, but they are fairly new. There is also a world cup course that's pretty keen, left over from years ago. There's a 12 hour downhill race this weekend, check the link.... http://www.falltiltintelluride.com/
Hopefully, people go and dig it - it would be cool if dh trails took off in Telluride, cause it's pretty close to durango

Telluride used to have awesome DH trails (cheap sunglasses, running with scissors, sasquatch, pbr, caves, etc.) I learned to ride DH there and no trails have ever been as gnar since. However I'm pretty sure that "the man" tore them out. Good to see DH is alive and well down there.

nice pic but there so much going on it hurts my eyes or maybe the pic is to awesome for my eyes to handle =P
I agree, it is a little busy with the trees and leaves and all... good eye - thanks for not being a di*k about it too- cheers, Jerry
Thank you Gary - I used a radio-remote, which turned out to be a lot trickier than I thought it would be. Need to figure out a better method to push the button...
Sweet! As if riding the bike isn't enough to do??? I would likely bin it if I tried to do that...or forget where the camera was!!!

i saw it and immediately thought POD, then i scrolled down and saw that it was POD, than i read that it was a self portrait, which made me want it to be POD again!
yeah, agreed on the flash/saturation... When shooting self portraits, I often forget about the whole flash thing. Thank you!
Sup!
Sweet pic.
Did ya singularily set that cam there or did some1 else take dat pic of you?
I need to get a quality cam to use while riding what do you use?
Shift ya lata!
