As you can see, I didn't even come CLOSE to landing this. Leatt definitely saved my neck this time.

I fell backwards. Thank God I had my Leatt on because the way that I fell backwards I landed right on my neck. 4 days later and I'm still sore and bruised - having trouble walking, sitting up, and breathing deep.

Generally, my big mistake was underestimating how much speed that the ramp soaks up. You assume that if you hit the cheese grater and the double over the stump, that you have plenty of speed to make the jump. Even after the double over the stump I cranked twice and still came up about 4-5 feet short.

I was too injured to go back and attempt to conquer it again. WAY too injured. But if I get back out there next year, I will. I'll just wait until the last day to do it so I don't potentially wreck an entire week's worth of riding.

Unfortunately, as happens quite often, when I ate it, my buddy stopped holding the shutter button down to capture more than one shot. Regardless, though, I don't know if my flash would have recharged in time. But needless to say, I hurt... A LOT. I'll need at least 1-2 weeks off the bike, MINIMUM.
