now its completely done... body is done, interior is 80%.... waiting on my engine to get back from my buddy's shop... 350 punched 30 over with a 400 crank. made a 383. wiend intake manifold, tunnel ram, and holley 650, 202 corvette heads, domed pistons, hooker headers, and a fresh valve job... hope it gets here soon... cant wait to drop it in and kill those tires

lol. impressive? whats impressive is that my buddy has the same engine in a 76 Vega thats completely gutted... he cant get under 12 seconds cause it spins the entire run! hahahaha... but hes getting 225/40/15 tires soon.... ill bet it wheelies then. hahaha. but my car is gonna be made for comfort... gotta keep the GF safe and comfortable. hahaha

It's a sweet build, but there's no way it'll run under 10. I know a guy with a blown 383 stoker in a 56 chev that'll run mid 11's. That's with about 650hp at the wheels.

What kind of driveline have you got in it?

ya, theres a gutted 280z with a 383s stroker that puts down 450bhp to the wheels and it runs in the mid 9's in town.

yeah that car is alot lighter than this one and probabaly has suspension work done to it this car will not run 9sec 1/4 mile i would love to see a video of this car at the track

Ever watch pass time? Once you've seen a few cars, it isn't that hard. That's why I asked you what's in the rear end. You can't get under 11 without traction bars/4 link ect. without turning you leafs into spaghetti. Nor will you get traction without drag slicks and a posi.

to DHBANSHEE, Thats what I was trying to tell them, that the motor isnt even in the car yet, so it would be silly to judge cars.
and srobinson has a very valid point, its really easy to judge times based on build info, I love that show even though ken always wins.

usually, because without slicks/suspension and a somewhat built motor, that doesn't add up to a 9 second car, even if totally stripped of interior.
