Remember those from way back when!....I was just a wee lad. That car is in great shape.

the "63"20 designation makes me think it never saw use as a division level squad car.

Wish we still had those. Much easier to spot a speed trap with the cop using one of those.

they switched from yellow to white so they'd be more visible on the roadside at night when doing highway stops. the yellow doesn't show up well in the dark.

They use stealth cars now for hwy and speed trap work. The white cars are really for patrol purposes.
click Its only when the light hits them just right you can see anything.

when they made the switch to the white cars....around 1989 I think...it was after having several coppers side swiped while standing issuing tickets to drivers at the roadside.
I think that besides the change to Stealth cars, the way police conduct those type of highway stops has been radically revisited over the last 20 years.

Bizarre to be talking about this on Pinkbike. LOL.

My first car was a 1988 Chrysler 5th Avenue, pretty much the same car.

the "63" is no division i know of. but i do remember those cars. reminds me of the blues bros. but now that i think of it, those cops had a stupid mascot car back then called blinky, the talking police car. it scared the shiite outta me back then. go google it. it'll rattle your memory boxes for real.

Blinky visited my school once. It was always in the Santa Claus parade too. Ghastly thing.

I think 63 is a command officers designation. You know, the white shirts.
