Sweet! I love wranglers. No other car is as off-road capable off the showroom floor, plus I can't think of any other convertible SUV currently being made. And I hope you have some skid plates, bro!

Ahem sir, the most capable off-road car off the showroom floor is the new 2010 Ford F-150 SVT Raptor. It is the most capable all around off-roader of the showroom floor. It already has all the components you need to ride hard without destroying the car. Other stock off-road vehicles would get destroyed if they go through the abuse the Raptor can go through. Plus the Raptor has all around features like hill climb and descent controls, the ability to hit speed that would be dangerous in any other stock off-roader on rough terrain, a dedicated off-road mode, it can tow your boat (if you have one, or anything else) with trailer sway controls and integrated trailer brake controller, the ability to lock the axles together at the same angle for more efficient turning, and it is also a daily driver that doesn't feel like molasses on the street. Oh and did I mention over $10,000 of the most advanced suspension (FOX) ever put on a vehicle off the showroom floor. This vehicle can be jumped! And most importantly you can haul bikes in it.
Ok I admit it: I am a Raptor whore.
Still, respect to the Jeep. It is very raugged and it is an awesome car. Keep rockin it dude!

Did anyone bother to read all that?

PimpSlayer, you should be a sales rep for Ford. They could pay you! I admit that the Raptor is an awesome truck, and I would certainly love to have one. The Fox suspension and yada yada bells and whistles are all nice, but NOTHING beats a JEEP for off-road.

A raptor might be better for baja high speed stuff, but it’s still a bloody full size pickup larger than an F-150! Its fat and heavy, it cannot rock crawl with the nimbleness of a Wrangler, especially the 2-door Rubicon. To be effective on really nasty trails you need a tight wheelbase, good approach/departure angles to get up and down rocks, and a good ratio of low-end torque to vehicle weight. The Jeep beats the Raptor on all fronts.

Want proof? Look at the photo! Could any Ford do that?
