well think of a better place to put it then but last time i looked, the crank was at the bottom of the motor, so kind of makes sence...

same here. just because the crank is at the bottom doesnt mean you cant align it right and have it belt driven, as most are.

its the way there designed.. the belt doesnt have to run anythin else but the altenator, so sounds like the perfect place to me, close as possible.

yeah yeah exacly jack whats the point in puting it miles from the crank, when it only powerd the altinator, citroen ford pug nissan fiat all put it ther on there hatches why complain about somthing, french motors have done since the citroen AX and not moved it since on the MA engines, its proved to work fine for the past 35 years if its not broke dont fix it lol

scumbags? im not even gonna go into how much i hate your country as a whole.
as an engineer i was thinking in a way of more easy maintainence than practicality. if that alternator breaks or fails how do you intend to replace it without taking the front of the car off or dropping the whole engine?

bit harsh tbh jack, but as for changing the altinator you can jack the car up on drivers side and reach up to it from the front held one with two bolts and the conexions had to do it on my old one
