Really like the shot...loving the moon too
It looks to me like your riding on Cyrptobionic soil. Those bacteria and fungi are what keep the environment in the moab area alive. Respect the bike mecca of moab and stay off of the soil.
MikeStreet thats not a totem i think its a lyric the totem has tribal design just under the crown on the right stantcion
Pavenger^^First of all have you ever heard of shadows? And its Cryptobiotic soil, If you were such an expert on what it looks like you might actually know how to spell it.
Sweet picture, diggin' the moon! It looks like he's riding on Mars, very cool.
SHOW THAT CRYPTOBIOTIC SOIL WHOS BOSS!

This guy is sick, he usually smashes Megavalanche, usually on a bike shorter, lighter and skinnier than most others, and usually in lycra. Lit!
rene f'n rips! check out his footage in the bonus features of the last cackle factor, it'll make you wonder why he didn't have an actual segment.

moab wouldn't be the bike mecca that it is if everybody stayed off the soil. the man's on a trail, not ripping untouched terrain. go cry a river to trek, they organised the launch.
if you actually read what pavenger wrote, it says 'cyrptobionic soil' acutally he spelled it wrong( its cryptobiotic), but do you even know what that is? not all the dirt in moab is that type. and if you've ever seen a photo shoot, a lor of times they make their own trails.
Holy crap, you guys have endangered DIRT?? thats nuts! Sweet pic mind, you cant argue with that, cryptobiotic soil or not!!!
I'm glad to see one person in the whole of pinkbike who sees where I'm coming from. I am by no means a tree hugger but it's just outof respect for my favorite place to ride on this earth. And yeah, my bad on the spelling, I've been up all night studying and it gets a little hard to type on my iPod at times
This photo was taken on a Jeep Trail east of Moab near the Red Cliffs Ranch. It's on a well used path.
Sweet deal brule. Sorry for jumping to conclusions off of not mch info but as I'm sure you've seen as well, far too many people go trail blazing in Moab.

It's too tough to tell what the makeup of the soil is considering the contrast in that area of the picture. No need to pontificate about sustainable trails when you don't have enough info to confirm what you think you see. That being said, I appreciate it when a young buck has concern for an issue that should be important to all trail users. That is RARE on PB.
I was kind of thinking that the shot would be better with a flash on the left to lighten up the shadows, but I guess that would take the "natural"-ness out of the photo...
Great shot, well worth POD!

Great shot...looks like he shaved for the occasion too!....Top quality SL! Odd legality disclaimer though....Guess that really is an issue huh?!
Must be his own personal steed, since the Scratch 9 doesn't come with a Lyrik Team Dual Air or Minions.
