How much weight did you saved by removing the paint?

I'm not sure. I didn't weigh it before hand. I just thought the brown was ugly.
The bike wasn't intended to be a lightweight build. I just started putting it together with spare parts. After I put the fork, headset, wheels, rear shock and bars on I realized that it was turning out to be pretty light.

I need to sawp on my Gamut guide, RaceLite SS cranks and Gamut chainring. I'm going to have to order spacers for the rear shocks(I have a DHX 5.0 coil, and Vanilla RC), a Thomson post, Mg1 pedals and a slim seat clamp.

You should also consider alligator rotors, they're pretty light. And maybe Buy SDG seatpost and saddle, a think it's lighter and cheaper than thomson.

cheers

Alligator rotors are light, I'm not sure if any of my distributors carry them. I'll probably just go with a 203/180 combo of G3 rotors.
Unfortunately the WTB Deva saddle does not come in an I-beam rail.
