OMG; poor guy, that is an amazing photograph tho, the middle one. is soo cool you can see all the oil coming out. and the fork snow plowing. and the rider, is looking at hos own crash I like that. where he is staring down the line that the fork makes. right at his face in the other pic, nice job all round,
I think his stanchions were too long and they were put under to much stress......just look at the picture of his fork in the first photo.....there is no way you could have that much travel
The fork was falling out, thats why it was so long. he didn't snap it, as far as I can tell, whoever assembled the forks did it wrong...Or manitou malfuncitioned again, I don't see a snap though
hes running a manitou travis, and because they have the arch on the other side, he has to put the stanchions to the maximum length, or it will hit the frame when bottomed out, this probabilly caused too much stress like daneel said
either that, or they just fell off,
either that, or they just fell off,
good job he had his goggles on. atleast we know he didnt get oil in his eyes. man i bet that hurt. hope hes back on his bike already!

well its a manitou and you dont see the pros racing the travis, so what do you expect? they suck, poor guy
Maybe the fork is a bit too long!
Maybe it's a POD, because of the long fork and the oil...just crazy

See above : "The fork was falling out, thats why it was so long. he didn't snap it, as far as I can tell, whoever assembled the forks did it wrong...Or manitou malfuncitioned again, I don't see a snap though"
