I hate when people use the reply area not to write a reply but to write there own comment. Pushin other people who commented first to the bottom. I don't like to be negative but this kind of stuff is irritating. Its like those guys who try and jump ahead of the line in a traffic jam.

I filmed on it with don hampton for the new "here we go again" film being released at sea otter, but I don't think it will make the vid. for some reason this one just doesn't look as good on film as it does in stills. At the top you stall and don't have any momentum. It doesn't create the same effect you think it would on film. But as a side note, see the bush at the top of the shadow of the front wheel. you can get up and over that bush, you just have to be super careful not to pop off the edge. We are woking on building another landing where you can air off of the edge towards the right side of the pic.
Amazing use of lighting! the rider and photographer get MAD props for this shot!!! how many passes did it take to nail this shot? it is a short window to get the sunset lighting and everything to work together.
For a daytime version of that pic check out http://www.pinkbike.com/photo/4276921/

Carston is one of the true underground heros of the sport. Constantly charging, and always building big new lines, like this monster. He rides as hard as a lot of pros I know in his free time just for fun. Kid has got soul.
A lot of the time Carston puts the time and energy to scout/build/maintain stuff like this just for some established pro rider to get the pic and get the credit. His shovel work has been in several videos, mags, and websites all over the place. It's about time one of his features surfaced with him riding it!
Nick, thanks a ton for the shout out! You need to give yourself a little credit, though- you put in a bunch of time and work on this thing, too.
Carston, Nick, Mitch and his friend get credit for helping bust up rocks. I couldn't have shot it unless we moved all those boulders.
yeah steve, that's kind of what I was getting at: a lot of people worked on this thing and it wouldn't be there if not for their help, and definitely wouldn't have happened if you hadn't found the thing in the first place.
my favorite thing about it is that its real props to the photographer for finding a great shot instead of making one and man that looks sick and fun
Christian, Hey sorry I forgot your name. Yea Thanks for all the help building that day in the rain. If you are ever in slat lake give me a call and lets shoot.
