I think so. I've never seen a scorpion while riding in east county, but apparently this one (arizona bark striped scorpion) has been responsible for 1000 deaths since 1940. And it lives in colonies, with up to 200 per square yard. So we're down there on our hands and knees digging through the dirt looking for more haha. Lucky us!
