bender is realy a god. hes realy one of are great legends.but wade is to cuz he started hucking and goign big with more flow,and how come john doesnt get respect for evrything he did,just like to let evryone know in ned1 sure bender was starting the whole huckign scene and pushing the limtis,but john was doing so many crazy tricks for back then.tricks we still see alot now. he plays a huge roll in what we see today and why kona has such a rad team. i think there all bike legends and all have huge rolls in todays evolution.

ppl who dont like bender never seem to find reasoning, they always state its just cause hes all balls no skills|? yet i dont understand, if that was the case everyone could send 30-40 drops to sand landings clean, their is great skill involved i personaly think, and lots of motivation to do what he does, not only that be he sends more then just drops, he was featured in a mag doing a backflip over some super sandy hip on a 50+ lbs banshee scream... this guy is a good sender and has huge motivation. and motivated the sport to the level it is today.

robby bourdon is one crazy mofo. although he doesnt drop 60ft drops. he 3's 60 ft gaps. hes a great rider with lots of skill, but i've never scene him or heard of him huck like bender. he does huck like a mother though. just not shirtless 60ft drop...... if you've got a vid or something to show me id appreciate it.

I have to disagree with everyone whos commented on this photo. the only thing bender has ever done for mountain biking is make us seem like a bunch of kamikaze idiots who dont give a shit about our bodies or our health. especially in movies when his crashes are glorified and you see him fall more often then land anything. the sport would have gotten where it is today just fine without him, thanks to real legends like simmons, shandro, etc. bender's style of hucking is barely even seen anymore, whereas shandro and simmon's north shore riding and style is still relevant today.
