Wow, what is with everyone complaining about PODs and VODs these days, you'd swear you were all professional photographers, stop being such critics and enjoy the damn photo, I had to post a rant on the VOD yesterday, which I shall repost here.

"I love the attitude of 90% of people now, it's all about how big you can go, how fast you can go and nothing to do with enjoyment of the sport we partake in, the effort that goes into getting a shot, buying cameras, tripods, lens etc. I think this is a great POD because it's something EVERYONE can relate too, having fun on a bike, and not something like a pro freeriding Utah, a level most of us will never get too. Good POD, my opinion, neg prop me all you want. Salute

I agree with Ireland. ive never earnt a penny from any of my photos. and Duanes not earnt a penny from riding. if the photo was taken by Sterling lorence of sam hill then sure. but its not. peace.

I remember Chavannes.....it's a track that could take many PODs and VODs if filmed.....superfun!!!!!!!!superfast!!!!!!
(Same jump of the cover of an italian mtb-magazine recently bought...)

if i took photos I would be sure to take a better one.. i just don't see how its that great of a pic sure the colours are good but you cant see how big the jump is.. the photo shows no scale.. and lets see you go take a better picture..

well the camera man hasent done anything wrong, its just a small tweak and not anywhere near as flat as tables should be. pinkbike needs to sort itself out with what they give pod to nowadays tbh

im not having a go at you, its just i think there is better riding pics out there, im sure you have pics of you riding that have better riding in it than this, just pinkbike dont choose the right photos for pod

Exactly. He didn't post it to get POD. He was just taking photos of his buddies, and got what he got. Like minimole said, its to remind you of the fun you had while riding, and so you can look back at it with fond memories. I don't think it deserves POD either, but it's a good pic. Everyone should complain to PB if you think it's the end of the world. Not to the photographer.

Reminds me of my summer too, so to me this is a much better POD than a pro doing a picture perfect trick in a big competition. POD's are much more than just crisp images and arty lighting, it's a feeling it gives you. This is a riders site after all, not a photography one.
