yeh, but better and smother weld, means that no air got under it, and should last longer, atleast in teory...but the most depends from the material that you weld.
an uneven weld doesn't mean air got in. if air was in the weld you would see porosity (little holes. more weld on top could be a sign that there is also more weld metal underneath, meaning more penetration and therefor a theoretically stronger weld
so left one got best welds ?? and how much more $$$ is he then specialized
think its some shity foto of some fanboy, look my frame got much beter weld then rest and he dont think of how much more you need pay to get that type weld
Well I cannae share your views...I've got a 2003 Banshee scream and a 2002 morphine, though they're as heavy as mud but one of the strongest frames just check mtbr.com, on the other hand I don't know much about new banshees but they must be good. I don't know what your experiences are but I'm curious to know it
I broke one frame drooping off a 2nd story balcony.. and thats not to flat.. the rear tri snapped right at the pivot point after the rear shock maxxed out.. poor design in their older frames.. and they came out with newer designs but I think after snapping one I will keep to buying specialized or giant.
was it a banshee scream?hmmm....maybe you didn't have luck on your side...sometimes it can happen no matter what frame you buy.I'm right aren't I?I've also heard about snapping of specialized or giant frames as well..... At the moment I'm completely satisfied with my Banshees I like how stiff they are but at this point I aggree with you because they can break but personally I think banshees have unique design image and most of all they are pretty rare. You can buy 2-3 banshees on pinkbike but just check how many specialized or giant frames, you can buy. And if they were, as you wrote, piece of s... most riders would get rid of them, wouldn't they?
