that looks real badass with that shock, way better than the one it comes with. what eye to eye is it?

8.5 but that mount is for 8.75, but this lowered the bb nicely and made the bike feel better to me.

does the shock need to have that extra piece if their was a longer shock

that is the shock mount, it comes in different lengths so you can have a longer shock and more travel or shorter shock / travel

ok i took this out today for 8 hours of freeride, this shock felt SOOO good, it took a bit to get the pressure where i wanted it, and get the rebound right, but once i got it set up good, it made my bike feel a lot better then the coil i had on it. i took everything i could do to it.
