How did you attach the brakes ?

on the baxck theyre wedged onto the u brake mounts and one end multiple heazy duty cable tied down at the other. the fronts are mounted to the v brake adaptor from an identiti dr jekyl frame, wich was then heavy duty cable and hose tied to the back of the fork, so when braking it would be pushed onto the fork, rather than ripped of the front.

sketchtastic Big Grin but more solid than you'd think surprisingly, i trust them to hold at 50+mph easily. just use common sense and look ot how forces are gonna be distributed etc

When you apply the brake the wheel trys to turn the caliper the same direction it is. The only thing stopping your brake from being pulled forward is the braking face of the pad, if your pad splits down the middle (I recon it will as its not ment to resist a localised tearing force) your brakes are goin to pull round and then your stuck at 50+mph whith no brakes.
I would look at brazing some mounts on there or your going to hurt yourself, badly at those speeds. Still good work, looks pretty funky. Scares the shit out of me though... even more-so now I know the brakes are held on with hopes and dreams.

well the front brake, is on a proper mounting plate, but the plate is strapped to the back of the fork, so the forces pull the brake onto the foprk, not off. the rears on the top of the chainstay on proper mounts and tied to be sure, so forces are going down onto the chainstay. should be fine Big Grin

Yeah it pushes onto the chainstay/fork but also with the rotation of the wheel it trys to twist them. The only thing stopping them from twisting is the brake pad and your zip-ties.

oh i getcha now, they are on proper v brake mounts too, its hard to explain, but the standard hs33 brake mounts dont fit the bmx u brake mounts perfectly, but its stops them twisting. and there are proper v mounts stopping twisting at the front. if you ever gte a go or a look at it, it makes more sense and feels more solid than youd think Big Grin

thanks man
