 Not if it's the 09. The 09 has euro bb and it doesn't have an integrated headset. However he will need a 27.2 seatpost which sucks because like hardly anyone makes them.

 i thought the head set of an stp was a totally different style. maybe you're not the right kid im thinking of? and Mcneil makes that size but its pivitol and i think BLK MRKT and deity make that size post for railed.

 Hmm it may be that way then, I know my 2005 p.3 headset worked in mine but giant is messed up(vert dropouts... like WTF) but yeah the most of the pivitol posts that I know of look so dumb in 27.2 they have a huge bulge in them so you can't slam them like you would be able to do with a stump post

 this ones nice. this is the one iv got and it doesnt have that bump, its slamable and its 27.2. just its pretty long so you have to cut it. 3ride.com/v2/detail/?itemID=6954

 highly recumbent that you get a pivotal set up since you've got to get a new seat post any way. or the eclat complex they're pretty cheep.

 you get bmx shit like seat post and get a shim. their like 5 or 10 bucks, or even make one. also you will need a new headset, the stp one will not fit.
